Pundit’s Services instantly connect people everywhere in dedicated meeting place where a registered user of Pundit can post a comment which is public to the world. Make no mistake, despite the temporary anonymity a user experiences during the feed, the comments are public to anyone - so be aware of what you post! 

Description:
The Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use and share your information acress our websites, APIs, email notifications, applications, buttons, ads, that link to this Policy (hereby collectively noted as “Services”) and from our partners and other third parties. When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, disclosure and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes any information you choose to provide that is deemed sensitive under applicable law. When this policy mentions “we” or “us” it refers to the controller of your information under this policy. The data controller responsible for your information is Pundit AS, a Norwegian company with its registered office at Bjørklundsveien 21, 1396 Billingstad, Norway. You alone control and are responsible for the posting of your comments and other content you submit through the Services, as provided in the Terms of Service and Pundit Rules.
Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to transfer, store and use your information in Norway, the United States and any other country where we operate. In some of these countries the privacy and data collection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those in the country where you live.

Information Collection and Use:
We collect and use your information below to provide, understand and improve our Services.
Basic Account Information; if you choose to create a Pundit account you must provide us with some personal information such as your name, username, password, phone number and email address. On Pundit, your name and username are always listed publicly, included on your profile page and in search results, and you can choose to either use your real name or a pseudonym.  You can create and manage multiple Pundit accounts.
Contact Information: We may use your contact information to send your information about our Services. We will not distribute your email or telephone number to any party or entity.
Additional Information: You may choose to provide us with additional information to help improve and personalize your experience across our Services which may later personalize content such as making suggestions for additional users to follow or add to your network or new ways of utilizing Pundit. If you email us, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond your request and store in our archives.
Comments, Following, Lists, Profile and other Public Information: Pundit is primarily designed to help you share commentary and information with the world. Most of the information and content you provide us is information and content you intendfor us to make public. You may provide us with profile information such as a short biography, your location, your website, date of birth, or a picture. Additionally, your public information includes the messages you comment, the metadata provided with comments such as when and where you comment, information about your account, such as creation time, language, country and time zone, and the events you follow and the feeds you participate in, people you follow and content you like and dislike.
Pundit broadly and instantly disseminates your public information to a wide range of users, partners, customers and services.  When you share information, content, thoughts and observations you should think carefully about what you are making public. We may use this information and data in the future to improve our services and offerings such as what topics and events might be of interest to you. Our default standpoit is that Pundit almost always will make the information you provide us through the Services public as long as you do not hide it from your profile.
Direct Messages and Non-Public Communications: We provide certain features that allow you to communicate more privately. You can use Direct Messages to have private conversations with other Pundit users. When you privately communicate with others through our Services, such as by sending and receiving Direct Messages, we will store and process your communications and information related to them. When you use features like Direct Messages to communicate privately, please remember that the recipients may copy ,store and re-share the contents of your communications.
Location Information: When accepting to share your location with Pundit we might determine location by using data from your device, such as your precise location information from GPS, cooinformation about wireless networks or cell towers near your mobile device or your IP address. We may use and store information about your location to provide features of our Services such as allowing you to engage in social interaction with users in your proximity and to customie the Services, for example, with more relevant content like local activities, stories, ads and suggestions for people to follow.
Cookies: Pundit uses cookes and similar technology to collect additional website or web usage data to imrpove our services and expand our offerings. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer or moile device. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our services so we can customize, improve and expad our offerings and Services.
Using our Services: We receive information when you view content on or otherwise interact with our Services, even if you have not created an account (“Log Data”). An example of this is when you view or websites or sign into our services without significant amount of activity or in any way use your account to authenitcate a third party website, application, service or visit a thirdparty website, application or service that includes Pundit content we may receive information about you. We use this information and Log data to customize the content displayed on our services and application to better suit you. This also applies to content that you might be interested in, peple to follow, Forum threads to Pin, advertisements and other content of relevance.
Advertising: Our Services are supported by advertising. We may use the information in this Privacy Policy to help make our advertising more relevant to you, to measure its effectiveness and to help recognize your devices to serve your ads on and off Twitter. We do not use the content you share privavtely in Direct Messages to serve ads. Out Pundit ads policy also prohibits content targeting based of sensitive personal nature or details such as race, religion, politics, sex life, health and similar topics.
Third Parties and affiliates: We may receive information about you from third parties such as other Pundit Users, partners (including ad-partners), TV-partners or corporate affiliates. Our ad partners and affiliates may share information with is such as a browser cookie ID, mobile device ID, or cryptographic hash of an email address as well as demographic or interest data and content viewed or actions taken on a website or app. Our ad partners, particularly our advertisers, may enable us to collect similar information directly from their webiste or app by integrating our advertising technology.
Personalizing across your devices: When you log into your acount with a browser or decice we will associate that browser or device with your account for purposes such as authenitcation and personalization. We may also personalize your experience based on information from other browsers or devices the ones you use to log into Pundit for the sake of personalizing your user experience.
 

Information Sharing and Disclosure:
We do not disclose your private and personal information except in the limited circumstances described here:

User content or direction: We may share or disclose your information at your direction such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your account. If you have shared information like Direct Messages with another user who access Pundit through a third-party service keep in mind that the information may be shared with the Third-party service.
Service providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in Norway and other counties where Users utilize our services. An example of Service Providers is how we utilize Google Analytics, Azure Business Intelligence and similar services to analyze and improve our offerings to our Users. We may share your private personal information with such Service Providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.
Law and harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy , we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably neccesary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process or governmental request to protect the safety of any perosn to address fraud, secuirty, racism, terrorism or technical issues – or to protet our and our user’s right or property. However, nothing in this privacy policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objectioins that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s request to disclose your information. If you for any reason condut illegal activity on Pundit or attempt to utilize Pundit as a means of communicating of illegal activity Pundit reserves the right to investigate and hand over any and all content relevant to the relevant governmental agency for further investigation.
Business transfers and affiliates: In the event that we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose information about you to our corporate affiliates in order to help provide, understand and improve our Services and our affiliates services, including the delivery of ads.
Public information:
We may share or disclose your public information such as your Public user profile information, comments or the people you follow or that follow you. Remember; despite the anonymous nature of the display settings on Pundit all content can be tracked to the public profile of the author of said content. All content on Pundit is public unless you delete your account.
Broadcaster partners: When accessing a Pundit feed that is linked to a Broadcast you accept and acknowledge the possibility that your display name and content might be integrated and displayed on that broadcast to its viewers. You give Pundit full use of your public display name in any way Pundit sees fit. Broadcaster partners have full access to all public information on Pundit such as Display name, activity, rankings, badges and general info found on “My Profile” and may chose to include such information in their Broadcasts.
Non-Personal, Aggregated or Device Level information: We may share or disclose non-personal, aggregated or device-level information such as the total number of times people engaged with a comment, the number of people who voted on a poll and similar activities base on Pundit’s core functionlaity, or device-level reports to advertisers about users who saw or clicked on their ads or topics users are talking about. This information does not include your name, email address, phone number or username. We may however share non-personal, aggregated or device level information through partnerships wuth entities that may use data in their possession (including data you may have given them) to link your name, email address or other personal information to the information we may provide them.

Accessing and modifying your personal information.
At any point you can alter the user settings under “My Profile”. You can delete your Pundit user account by contacting hello@beapundit.com and informing us that you no longer wish to be part of our platform. We will delete your information 30 days after your request. The data will be permanently deleted.  Any content extracted from Pundit to public areas on the internet, or belongs to third-parties, which that can be found in search engines may continue to exist even after you have deleted the information on Pundit and deactivated your account.

Global operations:
To bring you our services we operate globally. Pundit AS complies with the GDPR, Swiss-US Privacy shield and the EU-US Privacy shield (the “Principles”) regarding the collection, use, sharing and our retention of personal information from the European Union, Switzerland, US and all other countries in the world. Changes to this policy:
We revise this Privacy Policy accordingly to new features or updates to our services. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be found at www.beapundit.com/privacy. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via a Pundit update or by the email addressed linked to your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after the changes to the Privacy Policy has become effective you agree to be bound by the revised and updated Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of the 1st of Ocotber 2017.
